Amazing Dogs #3

Hurricane Katrina was a disastrous occurrence for residents of New Orleans in the United States, but
right inside this gross disaster, inspiring stories of heroism have helped give victims something to smile about. Certainly this was the case with Katrina, the ironically named black Labrador who saved a drowning man before rising flood waters claimed his life. The dog, who was later rescued herself by rescue teams, was honoured at that year's Genesis Awards with a standing ovation.

It was reported that Katrina was brought on stage and named guest of honor at the 20th annual Genesis Awards, given by the Humane Society of the United States to those who help advance the cause of animal rights.

Wow! Animals that rock!!! Lolzzz...
